Located in Evanston, approximately 1 block northeast of Centennial Park on Sheridan Avenue.

From Lake Shore Drive: Take Sheridan Rd into Evanston, RIGHT on Campus Drive. Access to the 2-level parking structure and the Segal Visitors Center parking garage will be immediately on your RIGHT.

From Green Bay Road, North: Take Green Bay to Asbury. RIGHT on Asbury to Emerson. LEFT on Emerson St. RIGHT on Sheridan Rd. LEFT on Campus Dr. Access to the 2-level parking structure and the Segal Visitors Center parking garage will be immediately on your RIGHT.

From 94/Edens Expressway, North: Exit at east Old Orchard Rd (Exit 35). Drive east to Crawford. RIGHT on Crawford to Golf, LEFT on Golf. After 1 mile, Golf will become Emerson St. Stay on Emerson for 1.6 miles. RIGHT on Sheridan Rd. LEFT on Campus Dr. Access to the 2-level parking structure and the Segal Visitors Center parking garage will be immediately on your RIGHT.

From 94/Edens Expressway, South: Exit at Dempster St (Exit 37B). Stay on Dempster for 4.4 miles. LEFT on Chicago Ave. RIGHT on Sheridan Rd. LEFT on Campus Dr. Access to the 2-level parking structure and the Segal Visitors Center parking garage will be immediately on your RIGHT.

Metra & El: Take the Purple Line, exit at Davis St. Walk east. LEFT on Chicago Ave. Cross Sheridan. RIGHT on Sheridan. LEFT on Campus Dr.

Parking is available in the Lakeside Parking Structure (1 Arts Circle Drive, Evanston) and the Segal Visitors Center, South Campus Parking Garage (1847 Campus Drive, Evanston).

Parking

Parking is free after 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends. Both lots are located right off Sheridan Road (on Campus Drive) and a short walk from the all performance spaces in the Wirtz Center. Please note if you use the Segal Visitors Center parking garage an access ticket will be dispensed at the gate and will be required for you to enter and leave the garage. Pull a ticket at the entrance of the garage and insert the same ticket at the exit. The gate arms will raise and there is no fee assessed.

If you choose to park in the Segal Visitors Center parking garage, please make sure you get and keep that access ticket as you will need it to exit the garage.

Chicago Directions and Parking

Wirtz Theatre in Abbott Hall. Main entrance located on the southeast corner of Lake Shore Drive and Superior Street.

Located in downtown Chicago, just off of North Lake Shore Drive, one block from Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Access Wirtz Center Chicago from the Superior St. Entrance to Abbott Hall. The Abbott Hall parking lot is immediately adjacent to Abbott Hall, and is entered from Superior St. Note that Superior St. is one-way eastbound.

From the North (via I-94)

Take I-94 E south to the Ohio St. exit
Follow Ohio St. (east) past Michigan Ave.
Left (north) on McClurg Ct.
Left (west) on Huron St. (one-way westbound)
Right on Fairbanks Ct.
Right (east) on Superior St. (one-way eastbound)
Enter parking lot on right from Superior St. ( A-Lot: Abbott Lot)

From the North (via DuSable Lake Shore Drive)

Take DuSable Lake Shore Dr. south to the Chestnut St. exit
Right (south) on inner Lake Shore Dr.
Right (west) on Huron St. (one-way westbound)
Right (north) on Fairbanks Ct.
Right (east) on Superior St. (one-way eastbound)
Enter parking lot on right from Superior St. (A-Lot: Abbott Lot)

From the West (via I-88 or I-80)

If taking I-88, take I-290 East to Congress Pkwy.
If taking I-80, take I-55 North to I-90/I-94 West and exit at Congress Pkwy.
Follow Congress Pkwy. (east) until it ends at Columbus Dr.
Left (north) on Columbus Dr. It will turn into Fairbanks Ct.
Right (east) on Superior St. (one-way eastbound)
Enter parking lot on right from Superior St. (A-Lot: Abbott Lot)

From the South (via I-57)

Take I-57 north and merge with I-94 West
Take I-94 west to the Ohio St. exit
Follow Ohio St. (east) past Michigan Ave.
Left (north) on McClurg Ct.
Left (west) on Huron St. (one-way westbound)
Right (north) on Fairbanks Ct.
Right (east) on Superior St. (one-way eastbound)

From Indiana (via I-80)

From Northwestern Evanston Campus

Take Sheridan Rd to US-41 S
Exit onto N DuSable Lake Shore Dr.
Turn left onto E Lake Shore Dr.
Continue on N Lake Shore Dr (south)
Turn right on E Chicago Ave. (west)
Turn left on Fairbanks Ct. (south)
Turn left on Superior St. (one-way eastbound)
Enter parking lot on right from Superior St. (A-Lot: Abbott Hall)

Taking the Metra/EL

Red, Brown, and Purple Lines have stops walking distance from Abbott Hall.

Parking

Complimentary parking is available for most evening and weekend events in the Abbott Hall Parking lot, directly next to the Wirtz Center Chicago performance space in Abbott Hall (710 N. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, IL 60611).

Enter the parking lot from Superior St. Note that Superior St. is one-way eastbound. The Wirtz Center entrance to Abbott Hall also faces Superior St.
