Set in Lima, Peru in 1993, Vladimir tells the story of a mother who must go to the heart of the empire that she has fought all her life in search of a future that cannot be found in her country. Her teenage son, Vladimir, decides not to follow his mother and seeks to make his own life.

Vladimir is a part of the Master of Fine Arts Collaboration Series that matches emerging theatre directors and stage designers from Northwestern’s MFA programs for exciting and sometimes unexpected results! Given the freedom to collaborate on bold, risk-taking productions of plays by some of today’s most groundbreaking writers, these young artists are creating at the crest of theater’s next wave.
