Tomas and the Library Lady, an Imagine U Production
Available On Demand After Livestream MARCH 12-28.                        Recommended for ages 5-12.

Tomás and The Library Lady, directed by MFA directing candidate Ismael Lara, Jr., tells the true story of a nine-year-old Tomás Rivera, the son of Mexican migrant workers who move from Texas to Iowa to work in corn fields in the summer of 1945. Tomás finds the library, where he bonds with the librarian. Adapted for the stage by José Cruz Gonzáles from the children’s book of the same title, written by El Paso born and UTEP graduate Pat Mora, Tomás takes his education into his own hands and develops a lifetime love of reading and writing.

Home Calls: The Songs of Salzman and Cunningham CANCELED – patrons were sent e-mail 
The Northwestern Musical Theatre Certificate Program of 2021 will present a new video album of Home Calls: The Songs of Salzman and Cunningham. Featuring songs from the catalogue of the award-winning songwriting team, Salzman and Cunningham, this song cycle (predominantly solos and duets) will be filmed on locations all over Chicago during Winter quarter. Directed by David H. Bell and Ryan Cunningham and Music Directed by Ryan Nelson, this revue embodies the touching, funny, and heartbreaking moments that make up a life.

Ticket Information

All our winter offerings offer single tickets for $10 (general public) and $5 (full-time, non-NU students) with the exception of Tomas and the Library Lady ($20 for adult plus child).  Admission for performances continues to be free to all Northwestern students with a valid NU e-mail address who complete the required registration form.  Patrons who have a credit on file from a canceled show earlier this year will be able to apply the credit to our quarter offerings in 2021.
