Against a backdrop of high unemployment and the deregulated economy of 1970s Britain, a young urban guerrilla group mobilizes: The Angry Brigade. Their targets: members of parliament, embassies, police, pageant queens. An uprising has begun and no one is exempt. As a special police squad hunt the home-grown terrorists whose identities rocked the foundation of the oldest empire on earth, James Graham’s heart-stopping and darkly comic thriller lures us into a frenzied world that looks much like our own.

Nate Cohen (Director) is a director, teacher and activist. Chicago credits: Directing at Collaboraction and Northwestern, Assisting at Steppenwolf and Northlight. Portland credits include various roles with Artists Rep, Portland Experimental Theatre Ensemble, Third Rail Rep, CoHo Productions, Action/Adventure, Theatre Vertigo Resident Director, Lead Producer of the international tour of The Gun Show, Portland Area Theatre Alliance Board Member, and directed World Premieres of KCACTF award-winning plays MIDDLE NAMES and ALONE IN A TAXICAB…. Nate has been a teaching artist at Oregon Children’s Theatre, numerous public schools, and was Program Director of Isinglass/Artists Rep’s esteemed Egg Summer Theatre Leadership Academy.

James Graham (playwright) who won the Pearson Playwriting Bursary in 2006 and went on to win the Catherine Johnson Award for the Best Play in 2007 for his play EDEN’S EMPIRE. His other plays include THIS HOUSE, THE VOTE, TORY BOYZ, and PRIVACY which opened at the Donmar Warehouse in London and later enjoyed an American run at the Public Theatre in New York starring Daniel Radcliffe. His latest play INK opened to critical acclaim at the Almeida and transferred to the West End in September 2017 where it played in the theatre next door to his new play LABOUR OF LOVE – creating theatre history. Ink will transfer to the Manhattan Theatre Club on Broadway in April 2019. He has written the book for FINDING NEVERLAND the musical with music by Gary Barlow.
